International Scientific Collaboration: New Results Published in a High-Impact Scientific Journal
Researchers of the Department of Biology (E.V. Galaktionova, A.A. Kornilova) have published the results of their collaborative research with international colleagues in the journal Plant Cell Reports (Scopus, Impact Factor 4.5).
The article, “Microplastics and Heavy Metals Dynamics: A Potential Threat to Soil Health and Food Safety,” addresses one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time—the impact of microplastics and heavy metals on soil health and food safety. The findings provide valuable insights into environmental risks associated with pollution and the sustainable development of agriculture.
This publication is the outcome of fruitful international cooperation between the Department of Biology and Professor Shujaul Mulk Khan, a distinguished scientist from Pakistan, Professor at the Department of Plant Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University (Islamabad), Member of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, President of the International Society of Ethnobiology, and recipient of numerous prestigious international scientific awards.
As part of this scientific partnership, Professor Shujaul Mulk Khan and Professor Riffat Naseem Malik visited our university and conducted the interdepartmental seminar “Reducing Harmful Emissions Resulting from Agricultural Activities: A Human Health Perspective.” During the event, the scholars discussed promising research directions, exchanged scientific expertise, and presented the outcomes of their collaborative work.
We congratulate the authors on this significant publication and wish them continued success in advancing international research projects and scientific cooperation.
Publication in a Q1-ranked journal confirms the high quality of the research conducted and its recognition by the international scientific community.
