A New Chapter in the Professional Journey of Zaure Kartova
For more than 12 years, the Faculty of History, Economics and Law of our university was headed by Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Zaure Kenesovna Kartova. Today, the university community saw her off to a new position in the city of Karaganda.
The ceremonial evening was attended by the university leadership and teaching staff, as well as colleagues from organizations of the North Kazakhstan region with whom the Faculty of History, Economics and Law has maintained long-term and fruitful cooperation: the Departments of Education, Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs, the Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the State Archive, the Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, the North Kazakhstan Branch of the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, and others.
Zaure Kenesovna has worked at Non-profit limited company "Manash Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University" since 2008, and since 2014 she has headed the Faculty of History, Economics and Law. She is the author of 5 monographs, 3 collective scholarly publications, 16 textbooks and teaching aids, and about 100 scientific articles. She has realized her vast academic potential, among other things, as part of research teams and as the head of grant-funded projects of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the history of Kazakhstan and the source studies analysis of historical documents, as well as on the history of North Kazakhstan from ancient times to the present. She also led the working group of the Regional Commission for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repressions of the North Kazakhstan region.
Chairman of the Board – Rector Yerbol Isakayev thanked Zaure Kartova for her contribution to the development of the university’s teaching staff, her support of young specialists, and her attentive attitude toward students, and presented her with letters of appreciation from the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region and the university.
“For us, an important indicator is the share of women in the university’s management. A woman is associated with warmth and motherhood. And when a woman leads an educational team - in this case, a faculty - it is different: more gentle and caring, yet sometimes more demanding and ambitious than men. Zaure Kenesovna embodies all these qualities. At the same time, she is a highly respected historian in our region. Major projects are associated with her name: Kyzyl-Oba, archaeological excavations, and so on,” Rector Yerbol Isakayev noted.
On this day, many warm words were addressed to Zaure Kartova by colleagues, associates, and grateful students. We thank Zaure Kenesovna for her work at our university and wish her every success in her new position.
