Kozybayev University Strengthens Cooperation with Nanjing Institute of Technology

Vitaliy Savinkin, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Head of the Department of Transport and Mechanical Engineering, and Tatyana Ratushnaya, PhD, Associate Professor of the same department, visited China as part of a delegation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with school principals and representatives of the national business community. In the city of Nanjing, they took part in the Educational Forum “Joint Training of Personnel by Schools, Universities, and Enterprises. Kazakhstan and China — Creating the Future Together!”

The visit to China was carried out within the framework of their grant-funded research project focused on the development of laser technology for manufacturing combined turbine blades for thermal power plants with increased wear resistance.

During the visit, meetings were held with the academic leadership of the Nanjing Institute of Technology. Discussions focused on joint research projects, new areas of specialist training, and prospects for introducing innovative technologies into the educational process and scientific research.

A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a framework cooperation agreement between the Department of Transport and Mechanical Engineering of Kozybayev University and the Faculty of Transport and Mechanical Engineering of the Nanjing Institute of Technology. These initiatives will contribute to strengthening scientific ties and opening new opportunities for students and faculty members. Such visits support the development of a modern engineering school in the country, integrated into the global scientific community.
