Congratulations to Andrey Glyvyak on Being Awarded an Academic Title!
By order of the Chair of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) in the field of Education has been awarded to Andrey Glyvyak.
Andrey Yaroslavovich graduated from the Faculty of Physical Culture of our university and later continued his professional career here. Today, he is a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports and holds a Master’s degree in Pedagogy. His total length of service at the university exceeds 20 years. He is actively and productively engaged in research activities.
In recent years, he has published around 10 scientific articles and teaching and methodological manuals. In addition to his academic and teaching work at Kozybayev University, Andrey Glyvyak coaches a kettlebell sport section. Since 2009, he has also served as the senior coach of the North Kazakhstan Region in kettlebell sport. He is an Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a Master of Sports. During his coaching career, he has trained 25 Masters of Sports, 9 International Masters of Sports, and 6 World Champions. Under his leadership, the university kettlebell sport team has repeatedly become the champion of the Winter Universiade of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The regional kettlebell sport team has also won numerous national competitions. Andrey Glyvyak himself remains actively involved in sports and continues to compete in international tournaments.
At the recent World Kettlebell Sport Championship held in Haining, China, he represented the Republic of Kazakhstan and won two bronze medals in the veterans and amateur categories in the +85 kg weight class. In addition, Andrey Yaroslavovich served as a coach of the national team and played an active role in preparing athletes for the competition.
