Kozybayev University Strengthens Ties with Industry

A career guidance meeting was held at Kozybayev University between students and the management of SEVKAZENERGO JSC. The event was attended by over 50 students from the 1st to 4th years of the “Electrical Power Engineering” program. General Director Anatoly Kazanovsky introduced the future power engineers to the real production conditions and career opportunities in one of the region’s largest companies. The company already offers paid internships to students, guarantees a social benefits package, and provides employment opportunities during the summer period. There is also the possibility of receiving an additional scholarship for the entire duration of studies by excelling in the company’s competitions. Students also have access to training with elements of a dual education system.

In his speech, Anatoly Kazanovsky noted that the company is interested in attracting new talent and is ready to invest in their development.

He also spoke about the company’s ongoing modernization projects, the implementation of new technologies, and the requirements that the modern energy sector places on young professionals.

The meeting concluded in an open-dialogue format, allowing students to personally ask the General Director and HR specialists questions about internships, working conditions, and practical training. Informal discussions continued during the coffee break.

This format of interaction, initiated by the employer, demonstrates SEVKAZENERGO JSC’s strong involvement to training qualified personnel within our university.

The event was held as part of the Engineering and Digital Festival “Profession of the Future,” timed to coincide with the Year of Working Professions.
