Kozybayev University participates in the “National Dictation”

As part of the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan and the birthday of the great teacher, scholar, and public and statesman Akhmet Baitursynov, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the International «Qazaq Tili» Society initiated the project “National Dictation.” Thousands of people across the country participated in writing it, as well as members of the Kazakh diaspora abroad. The main goal of the project is to expand the use of the state language, improve citizens’ writing skills, enhance the linguistic culture of youth, and increase interest in the Kazakh language. The project also involved faculty, staff, and students of Kozybayev University. They demonstrated their literacy and proficiency in the state language. The event was held in two directions:  for participants who speak Kazakh as their native language, an excerpt from Akhmet Baitursynov’s article “Oqu jayi” was used, while those learning Kazakh as a second language worked on a short essay on the topic “Homeland.” More than 1,000 people took part in the mass writing of the dictation. They not only tested their proficiency in the state language, but also contributed to enhancing its status, strengthening national identity, and promoting linguistic culture.
