Quality Week 2025: Focus on Artificial Intelligence

The university has started Quality Week dedicated to World Quality Day. This day is celebrated annually on the second Thursday of November at the initiative of the European Organization for Quality with the support of the UN. In most countries around the world, events are held to emphasize the importance of high-quality products and services, as well as effective governance of society and enterprises to ensure a decent standard for citizens and sustainable development of nations.

Our university has supported this tradition since 2005. Since 2008, each Quality Week has been held under a specific theme reflecting current challenges. This time, the main idea of Quality Week is artificial intelligence, its integration into the educational process and research. The implementation of AI in the university is not just a technological innovation, but a strategic necessity for Kazakhstan. As noted by the Head of State, significantly accelerating the adoption of modern digital technologies and AI systems in the country’s academic sphere is a step toward creating a new generation of education. It is important for universities to graduate specialists who are capable of working with AI technologies and adapting to new markets and transformations.

The first event in this series, held as part of Quality Week, was the scientific and practical conference “Opportunities for Using Artificial Intelligence in Natural Science Research.”

In addition, from November 10 to 14, round tables, seminars, master classes, exhibitions, and other events are planned at all faculties of the university. Take part in the Quality Week events! Improve your competencies and expand your knowledge!
