Our Pentathletes Keep Impressing with Their Victories

From March 12-16, the Kazakhstan Championship in Indoor Pentathlon was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The team from Kozybayev University represented the North Kazakhstan region. Our students returned from the Championship with 5 medals! PF student Nikita Izotov won two gold medals! He claimed the first medal in the 21-23 age group and the second in the Absolute Championship. This marks Nikita’s sixth time as the strongest pentathlete in the country!!!

At this competition, our renowned pentathlete set two personal records: in the 2000m run – 5 minutes 38 seconds, and in the 100m swim – 1 minute 02 seconds. Fourth-year student Arsen Khamzin won the bronze medal and set a personal record in the 60m run. Our female athletes also performed very well. Julia Kretz, a third-year student, took second place and set a personal record in the 60m run. Angelina Kudryavtseva earned third place on the podium. Julia Bezushko finished fourth, Danila Svirzhevsky fifth, and Arkady Esman sixth. The students were trained for the Kazakhstan Championship by our renowned coach, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Alexander Vladimirovich Naumov.
