Regional Competition Dedicated to International Earth Day – 2026
Within the framework of celebrating International Earth Day, the Department of Geography and Ecology invites school students of Petropavlovsk and the North Kazakhstan region to participate in a regional environmental competition.
Competition period: March 1 – April 12, 2026
Award ceremony: April 23, 2026, at a ceremonial event dedicated to Earth Day.
Students of grades 1–11 are invited to participate.
Competition categories:
Grades 1–4 — Handicraft contest using natural materials and solid household waste
“Amazing Nature” / “A Second Life for Waste”
Grades 5–8 — Video contest
“Nature and Ecology of the Native Land”
Grades 9–11 — Research project contest
“Environmental Threats and Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”
The competition aims to develop environmental culture, foster a responsible attitude toward nature, and support students’ creative initiatives.
We invite schools of the region to support their students and take an active part.
